How are 2025 Rock Hill Business Excellence award winners chosen?
Winners are determined strictly by community vote totals. There is no paid placement, no committee override, and no sponsorship influence on voting outcomes.
Do businesses have to pay to participate or be nominated?
No. Nominations and voting are completely free. Every eligible York County business can be nominated. Winners may be eligible to purchase a physical award.
Can businesses encourage people to vote for them?
Yes. Each year, businesses are welcome to share the voting link with their customers and followers. We just ask that they avoid offering incentives in exchange for votes.
Who is eligible to be nominated in the Rock Hill Business Excellence Awards?
Any business or person headquartered or operating in York County is eligible. National chains can appear if they have a physical York County location, but locally owned companies are highlighted wherever possible.
Why is my category different from what I call my business?
Categories are standardized so voting stays organized. If a business fits multiple areas, we place them in the closest matching category.
