Located at 1005 Eden Terrace, Miracle Park is not just a playground, it’s a movement. Developed through a powerful partnership between the York County Disabilities Foundation, the City of Rock Hill, and Winthrop University, this one-of-a-kind park is the first in the world to earn a Global Universal Design certification. From the fully inclusive playground and sensory-friendly amenities to Miracle League baseball fields and a future retail space designed for workforce inclusion, every square foot of Miracle Park has been designed so that people of all ages and abilities can play, work, and belong.
A Commitment to Inclusive Play in York County
Miracle Park’s design centers around a bold vision: to create a space where every child can play safely, confidently, and joyfully. Phase 1 of the park is already complete, featuring a state-of-the-art inclusive playground with interactive music areas, resistance equipment, a sensory pod, and parallel play features that are accessible to all. There’s also a Story Walk, a Little Free Library, a Miracle League field, and even an adult changing station, demonstrating the park’s deep commitment to dignity and access.
Serving the Rock Hill and York County Community
Miracle Park is rooted in community. More than 500 local donors helped fund its first phase, with even more support rolling in as plans for future development take shape. The park is maintained and operated by the City of Rock Hill’s Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department, offering inclusive programming, sports, and family events year-round. This space brings together families, volunteers, and kids of all backgrounds for play, learning, and connection.
